Entrex Establishes the B.U.I.L.D. Vocational Workforce Foundation
Students will not study a data center. They will build one.
Entrex (OTC:NTRX) (OTCBB:NTRX)
TAMPA, FL, UNITED STATES, August 28, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Entrex (OTC: NTRX) today announced the establishment of the B.U.I.L.D. Vocational Workforce Foundation, a nonprofit organization created to train, credential and place the skilled technicians who power, cool, connect, assemble, commission and maintain distributed data centers. The Foundation has been organized as a Florida nonprofit corporation, with its Section 501(c)(3) application filed for federal tax-exempt status.“The assets we acquire are only as good as the people who assemble, commission and maintain them,” said Stephen H. Watkins, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Entrex. “The Foundation will turn vocational aptitude into real-world experience and lasting careers—while developing the skilled workforce required to scale distributed data centers nationwide.”
The Foundation is one of two organizations operating under the B.U.I.L.D. Program, the Company’s national strategy for developing both the skilled workforce that builds distributed data centers and the production capacity that delivers them. B.U.I.L.D. - Build, Understand, Integrate, Launch and Deploy - turns the technical classroom into a working infrastructure laboratory. Students complete a standardized, hands-on sequence across fabrication, electrical systems, cooling, controls, communications and commissioning. The result is not a classroom model, but a completed mobile data-processing unit built to documented operating standards.
The workforce need is immediate. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects approximately 81,000 electrician openings and 40,100 HVAC technician openings annually, on average, from 2024 through 2034. The Foundation will manage school relationships, curriculum, instructors, student compensation, grants and workforce outcomes.
The Foundation will operate alongside B.U.I.L.D. Manufacturing, a separate for-profit platform responsible for specifications, procurement, production financing, quality control, commissioning and delivery. Foundation resources support education; private capital finances commercial production. The organizations will maintain separate governance, accounts and agreements. Entrex is the founding corporate sponsor of both organizations and provides the demand the Program is built to serve, including unit specifications, the deployment pipeline and the opportunity to acquire completed operating units under separate purchase orders.
“Every completed unit represents both a trained workforce and a productive asset our public company can acquire,” Watkins continued. “Tampa Bay establishes the data center vocational standard. That standard is what scales nationwide.”
